For supplier use in development of the LDM and for analysis of warranty service return parts, the supplier should implement a data retrieval routine and assure they have adequate coverage for the ongoing support of the product through its life cycle. This may be in addition to requested diagnostic DIDs (EDF) from Ford.
The following section illustrates a possible node response frame modelled after the Part Number Reporting Frame to allow data to be transferred out of the LDM. This example DOES NOT include the J2602 status byte as the Frame is not used during vehicle operation. The supplier MAY chose to reuse the Part # Frame with the alternate IDs to reduce code development. These ID’s will NOT be defined for operational use to prevent field issues.

One ID of each Node Lighting Module is allocated, but undefined and is for Supplier use. These IDs are listed in the table below. The LDM4 may use the ID for LF or RF LDM.
