FORD LDM Localization

If failure occurs, the LED voltage, LDM temperature and failure time shall be saved and reported. The last five error messages shall be stored in the non-volatile memory. An internal or external watchdog shall control µC function and reset the controller when required.
In case of a LED failure (LED string open load or short circuit (LEDs ≥1 short circuit)) the LDM shall be able to report the failure via LIN bus acc. to the following parameters when main power is within the range of guaranteed performance(9-16V) and ‘Ignition_status’ is Run/Start:

‘LB_ Failure_Report_cfg’ parameter definition:
• 0x00: LED string open load or short circuit (LEDs ≥1 short circuit) shall not be reported via LIN
• 0x01: LED string open load or short circuit (LEDs ≥1 short circuit) shall be reported via LIN

‘HB_ Failure_Report_cfg’ parameter definition:
• 0x00: LED string open load or short circuit (LEDs ≥1 short circuit) shall not be reported via LIN
• 0x01: LED string open load or short circuit (LEDs ≥1 short circuit) shall be reported via LIN

‘DRL_ Failure_Report_cfg’ parameter definition:
• 0x00: LED string open load or short circuit (LEDs ≥1 short circuit) shall not be reported via LIN
• 0x01: LED string open load or short circuit (LEDs ≥1 short circuit) shall be reported via LIN

‘TI_ Failure_Report_cfg’ parameter definition:
• 0x00: LED string open load or short circuit (LEDs ≥1 short circuit) shall not be reported via LIN wire
• 0x01: LED string open load or short circuit (LEDs ≥1 short circuit) shall be reported via LIN wire

NOTE: TI outage shall always be reported via hard wire ’ L/RF_LED_Turn_Outage_Ckt’.
