LED outage detection shall work within -40 to 110°C ambient temperature range. Input voltage range for LED outage detection is 9-16V. No LED outages shall be reported in case were input voltage is out of range.

If failures occur(1 or more LED open load or short circuit), whether the next higher subsystems(whole LED string) of the affected components shall be de-activated or not can be configured by parameters.

‘LB_Failure_Deact_cfg’ parameter definition:
• 0x00: No deactivate required
• 0x01: Deactivate channel output in case failure(open load or short circuit(N-1)) is detected
• 0x02: Deactivate channel output in case failure(open load or short circuit(LEDs > 1 short)) is detected
‘HB_ Failure_Deact_cfg’ parameter definition:
• 0x00: No deactivate required
• 0x01: Deactivate channel output in case failure(open load or short circuit(N-1)) is detected
• 0x02: Deactivate channel output in case failure(open load or short circuit(LEDs > 1 short)) is detected

‘DRL_ Failure_Deact_cfg’ parameter definition:
• 0x00: No deactivate required
• 0x01: Deactivate channel output in case failure(open load or short circuit(N-1)) is detected
• 0x02: Deactivate channel output in case failure(open load or short circuit(LEDs > 1 short)) is detected

‘TI_ Failure_Deact_cfg’ parameter definition:
• 0x00: No deactivate required
• 0x01: Deactivate channel output in case failure(open load or short circuit(N-1)) is detected
• 0x02: Deactivate channel output in case failure(open load or short circuit(LEDs > 1 short)) is detected

NOTE: In case of N-1 LED failure of single light function the other functions shall continue to work.
Example: When the LEDs of LSD fail the next higher subsystem (ex. High Side Driver) will still function according to the parameters above.
