All output functions shall have a defined derating curves using 5 points described by a temperature and a percent derating. Combined current derating and PWM derating may be used to meet the derating points. The LDM shall linear interpolate the derating between the 5 programmed points. This applies to all functions driven high side LED buck drivers.
The configurations used will be ‘CHx_NTC_TempDerate(1-5) _cfg’ to configure the temperature points and ‘CHx_NTC_BrightDerate(1-5) _cfg’ to configure the percentage by which the output shall be derated. These temperature points shall align to those described in RQT-170000-022597.
NTC derating temperature range and resolution setting:
‘CHx_NTC_TempDerate1_cfg’: should always be -40℃ and can’t be configured.
‘CHx_NTC_TempDerate2_cfg’:
• Range: -5℃ - 30℃
• Resolution: 5℃
‘CHx_NTC_TempDerate3_cfg’:
• Range: 80℃ - 115℃
• Resolution: 5℃
‘CHx_NTC_TempDerate4_cfg’:
• Range: 90℃ - 125℃
• Resolution: 5℃
‘CHx_NTC_TempDerate5_cfg’:
• Range: 100℃ - 135℃
• Resolution: 5℃
NTC bright derating range and resolution setting:
‘CHx_NTC_BrightDerate1/2_cfg’:
• Range: 0% - 15%
• Resolution: 5%
‘CHx_NTC_BrightDerate3_cfg’:
• Range: 0% - 35%
• Resolution: 5%
‘CHx_NTC_BrightDerate4_cfg’:
• Range: 0% - 75%
• Resolution: 5%
‘CHx_NTC_BrightDerate5_cfg’:
• Range: 0% 10% - 100%
• Resolution: 5%

NOTE: If lighting function is deactivated by thermal derating(‘CHx_NTC_BrightDerate5 _cfg’ = 100%), a 5°C hysteresis should be applied when the function recover.
