Table 41: BCM Front EEL Configuration Frame Definition
The first 2 Bytes (Data0 and Data1) of ConfigIndex = 0 are reserved for BCM to LDM Configuration Matching test.
The BCM methodology utilizes a data space which contains the multiple variant configurations for LIN Nodes.

If the Node config data consists of 10 bytes and the vehicle gets “6” different variations, the BCM will store 60 bytes of data, which is added to a single global data file that covers all configurable LIN nodes on all busses. This file is transferred to the BCM via Method 3 and is retained for the life of the BCM. The vehicle is configured via method 2, which will identify which of the “6” variants is selected. This selection is also retained by the BCM for its service life. The BCM LIN Configuration routine will program ConfigIndex [0], bytes Data0 and Data1 with this variant number from the method 2.
